Kopjes have provided both an art canvas and a source of music for the indigenous peoples in Serengeti. These are fairly contemporary paintings of Maasai warriors with their shields:



This rock is pitted with depressions caused by being struck with rocks, as Godliving is doing below, to make wonderful and unearthly musical tones.

And the swifts make their messy nests there as well.
