The Moscow Metro

No trip to Moscow is complete without visiting some of the older subway stations. Construction begain in 1931 under Stalin and little expense was spared making the Metro as impressive as possible. Mosaics, marble, stained glass, statuary and chandeliers ornament these older stations and one is even one of UNESCO's World Heritage sites!
