Monet's Garden -- the Japanese Bridge

The willows at Giverny

Everything's a painting at Giverny...

Musée d'Orsay

The Musée d'Orsay would be worth visiting just for the old train station building itself. It's my favorite museum in Paris, which is saying something. An impressive Beaux-Arts building originally constructed as the Gare d'Orsay 1898-90 and converted to the museum in 1986.

Madame Monet...

A view of Paris and Sacre Coeur from the Musée d'Orsay:

Paintings from the Musée d'Orsay

Other lovelies from the Musée d'Orsay

The Musée d'Orsay has a truly wonderful collection of Art Nouveau pieces, including, of course, some lovely things from the Paris metro...

Entire rooms of the stuff...

And, of course, exquisite Art Nouveau glassware...

Adieu to France

A glorious last day in Paris, where clearly the pigeons are no respecters of art...
