Dougga

UNESCO calls Dougga the best preserved Roman city in North Africa; it's on a plateau with an unrestricted view (as you can see below) of the surrounding plains in the Oued Khalled. Originally founded in the 6th century BC, it was progressive "Romanized" after the fall of Carthage.



The theater, built in 168 or 169 A.D.
