The tallest of the Peterhof fountains in the Grand Cascade shoots water 65 feet into the air, commemorating the 25th Anniversary of Russian victory over Sweden. 
The view out to the Gulf of Finland. Because of Neva River and the fresh water flowing from the springs that feed Peterhof's fountains, the Gulf of Finland and the Baltic Sea are hardly saline at all, which is why they are able to freeze over in winter.

Well. This explains why we don't have fountains. There IS no further uphill from us.
