One of the delights of Douz, billed as "The Gateway to the Sahara," is camel riding. My trusty mount, Halib, which I think means 'milk' in Arabic:

And off they go, into the trackless wastes (OK, yes, followed closely by the camel owners to ensure that the beasts come to no harm).
