The War Remnants Museum is a tourist must, but it's a pretty sad place for Americans to visit. I found this set of medals in one of the cases to be very touching. They belonged to a Sgt. William Brown, who won them during the Vietnam War. The label reads: "To the People of a United Vietnam: I was wrong. I am sorry."
The other obligatory stop for American tourists are the Cu Chi tunnels, outside of Saigon. On the way there, we saw a lot of vehicles loaded down like this one:
