Knossos: Magazine of the Pithoi

Pithoi are large storage jars found at Knossos with relief medallion and rope decoration characteristic of the New Palace period, 1700 - 1450 B.C.



As you can see, Knossos commanded a sweeping view of the surrounding countryside.
