Stellenbosch was founded in 1679 by the governor of the Cape Colony, who named it after himself, naturally. Much of it was settled by Huguenot refugees and is now the center of the South African wine industry. It was a bit rainy when we set out to visit...
...so we did the only thing possible under the circumstances: we tasted wine.
