I have to say that either Descanso Gardens or Huntington Gardens here in the Los Angeles area could more than give Powerscourt a run for its money, pretty though the few rhododendrons they have are:
But they do have a lovely formal walled English garden with hundreds of kinds of plants all jockeying for position:
