Fornillo Beach & the Street Dogs of Positano

In addition to the main beach, there’s a smaller one at the end of a long scenic walk from the dock along the coast

There are a number of stray dogs in Positano, but the locals hate it when the dogcatcher comes to town to capture them, so they put collars on all of them and feed them. Many hang around the particular shop where they are sheltered and cared for, and when the dogcatcher comes, the shopkeepers insist that the dog belongs to them. For some reason, West Highland Terriers are in great supply. This corgi spends his days walking from one place to another, and is fed at all of them; only the constant walking keeps him from being even more overweight than he is. He’s known by about nine different names and answers to them all.
