Uffizi Gallery and Accademia Gallery

Our first day, our main goals were visiting the Uffizi Palace, once the offices of the Medici, and the Accademia (once the Medici’s Palace), neither of which allow interior photography, unfortunately, so you will have to settle for exterior photos, I’m afraid (although I did sneak a photo of Florence out the window...). At least they have left a decent copy of Michaelangelo’s “David” outside, in the place where the original once stood before being taken inside.
