Ephesus - Gate of Herakles, Fountain of Trajan and Temple of Hadrian

The pair of winged creatures facing each other on what's left of the Gate of Herakles are among the most attractive carvings in Ephesus, I think:




Then there's the Fountain of Trajan:


All that's left of a massive statue of Trajan that once graced the Fountain is the foot resting on a ball that represents the world. Egotistical things, these Roman emperors, aren't they?


Next down the way is the Temple of Hadrian:
